Remote Deposit
Need to deposit a check, but don’t have time to stop at a branch or ATM? Remote Deposit, a new feature in CU Online, allows you to enter your checks in CU Online and receive immediate credit for them up to your pre-determined limit. All you need to do is mail the deposit to Wings within 24 hours of making the deposit, so it is received within 7 business days, in envelopes we provide.

How does Remote Deposit work?
- You receive a check(s) from someone that you want to deposit.
- Log into CU Online and select “Remote Deposit”.
- Then select the account you want to deposit to and list the check(s) you wish to deposit.
- Mail the check(s) to the credit union in the special deposit envelope within 24 hours of making the deposit.
- The deposit is credited immediately if it is under your deposit limit amount.
- If the check(s) is not received after 7 business days, the deposit will be reversed and your account will be assessed a $20.00 late deposit fee. Remember, if you deposit a check, even if Wings makes the funds available to you immediately, you are responsible for the amount of the item if Wings is unable to collect and receive payment.
- A “Reference Number” is assigned to the transaction that must be included on the envelope, and to locate your deposit in Remote Deposit history.
How do I get deposit envelopes?
You can order deposit envelopes online by selecting “Order Envelopes” from the remote deposit section on CU Online. You can also call member services to order more online deposit envelopes. Instructions are also included for addressing your own envelopes. These instructions MUST be followed exactly, however, to prevent delays in processing.
What accounts can I deposit to?
You can deposit to any checking account on which you are the primary member.
How is my Remote Deposit Immediate credit limit decided?
Your deposit limit is determined by your length of membership and relationship with the credit union. Please note: If your current checking account balance is negative, your available limit for immediate credit is $0.00. You may still submit the deposit via Remote Deposit, however.
What is the maximum amount I can deposit?
You may deposit any amount you wish, but you will only receive immediate credit up to your limit. Your immediate credit limit is shown on the “Make a Deposit” screen on the upper left hand side. Please note: If your current checking account balance is negative, your available limit for immediate credit is $0.00. You may still submit the deposit via Remote Deposit, however.
What happens if I deposit more than my maximum amount?
Deposits over the limit will be allowed, however you will only receive immediate credit on the amount up to your limit. The remainder will be credited to the account once the item(s) have been received at the credit union. Please note: If your current checking account balance is negative, your available limit for immediate credit is $0.00. You may still submit the deposit via Remote Deposit, however.
What is the minimum amount I can deposit?
There is no minimum amount for Remote Deposits.
When is the money I deposit available for my use?
As soon as you complete the deposit, up to your pre-determined limit. If the amount of the deposit is more than your deposit limit, you will receive immediate credit up to your limit and credit for the remainder once the item(s) is received at the credit union.
What happens if a check I deposit and receive credit for is returned for insufficient funds?
If you deposit a check, you are responsible for the amount of the item if Wings is unable to collect and receive payment due to insufficient funds.
