During Market Turmoil, Wings Money Markets Are Safe Investments
Wings Money Markets are insured deposits, just like Share Savings, Checking and Certificates. Money Market rates and rates on all of our member deposits are determined by Wings management based on our ability to pay. Because of our low operating costs and well performing loan and investment portfolios, we have been able to pay exceptionally high deposit rates for many years.
How do we invest your deposits? All of our deposits are comingled into a single pool, which we invest in loans to members or our investment portfolio. Our investments, by federal regulation, are limited to bonds issued by the US Treasury, federal agencies or municipalities, as well as deposit products from other financial institutions. We do not invest Money Market funds as a separate pool of funds from our other deposits.
