Senior Fraud Education

The Wings Financial Foundation will be hosting a four-part series on senior fraud, Spot & Stop Senior Fraud. Learn how to protect yourself and loved ones with this series of workshops designed to help you identify the signs of senior financial fraud, prevent it from happening and respond effectively if it does occur. We will have guest speakers that will present actual cases that have occurred both at the state and national level.


Spot & Stop Senior Fraud

Four Sessions/Topics. All sessions will be held at the Apple Valley Headquarters Conference Center and begin at 4:00 PM and last approximately one hour. Please feel free to attend any or all classes in the series. Each member is allowed 1 guest, as space is limited.


Monday, Sept. 30 – The first class will be an introduction to senior fraud and an awareness of how easily it can happen to so many.

Tuesday, Oct. 8 – Common senior fraud scams, including attempts on Wings members will be discussed.
Guest Speaker from Wings Financial Loss Prevention

Tuesday, Oct. 22 – Internet and cyber safety concerns are on the rise. This class will be looking at different online tactics to be on the lookout for.

Tuesday, Nov.12 – Tips will be given on how to prevent and protect yourself against senior fraud.
