SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

As part of its commitment to higher education, the Wings Financial Foundation awards scholarships to outstanding members each year who plan to attend an accredited college, university or post-secondary technical school.

The deadline to submit applications for the 2020-2021 Scholarship Programs is Friday, Feb. 7, 2020. Winners will be notified the week of May 4, 2020.

Applications for the Wings Financial Foundation and Paul Soderlind programs, must be submitted using CU Online. Only one entry, per Wings ID, per scholarship program will be permitted. Members are able to apply for all scholarship programs provided they meet the eligibility requirements.

Available Scholarships

2020 Minnesota Credit Union Foundation Scholarship Council (FSC)
The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation Scholarship Council will be awarding $20,000 in $1,000 individual scholarships – providing 20 Minnesota credit union members the opportunity to cut the cost of college. Members pursuing post-secondary education in the fall 2019/spring 2020 OR is a high school senior graduating in 2020 is eligible to apply.

Deadline to apply is November 30, 2019.*

*The FSC scholarship is not funded or managed by Wings Financial Credit Union or the Wings Financial Foundation. Any questions regarding this scholarship should be directed to scholarships@mncufoundation.org.

2020 Wings Financial Foundation Scholarships
The Foundation is currently offering a total of eleven scholarships equaling $30,000 to outstanding members nationwide who plan to attend an accredited college, university or post-secondary technical school.

Deadline to apply is February 7, 2020 at midnight CST.

2020 Paul Soderlind Scholarship Program
The Paul Soderlind Memorial Scholarship, administered by the Wings Financial Foundation, is open to former Northwest Airlines employees or eligible relatives of former Northwest Airlines employees. In 2020, up to six $5,000 scholarships will be awarded.

Deadline to apply is February 7, 2020 at midnight CST.
