Nathan Christensen is a financial advisor with LPL Financial.
I’ve been working in financial services since 2016. I am passionate about my role in helping members work toward their financial goals through smart financial decisions at every stage of life. I also love providing that sense of relief that they’re not going at it alone.
My philosophy on investing and financial advising is that it’s my job to help manage the member’s expectations and emotions by assessing their financial objectives and goals. I work with everyone from young families to retirees, and look forward to working with you.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family – my wife, Kayla; sons Rowen and Asher; and dog, Benny – as well as golfing, fishing, and hunting throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.
How much should I have saved for retirement. The answer? There’s no magic number! This is why it’s important to work with a financial advisor, because what each person needs will vary widely based on several factors.
I encourage my clients to save between 10-15% of their income toward retirement, although it can vary based on their overall financial situation.
The frequency can change based on the client’s needs, but at a minimum you should meet with your advisor once a year.

Your Credit Union (“Financial Institution”) provides referrals to financial professionals of LPL Financial LLC (“LPL”) pursuant to an agreement that allows LPL to pay the Financial Institution for these referrals.
